Grupo DX Teide

El Grupo DX Teide es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro fundada en el año 2007. Entre sus objetivos están los de fomentar la práctica de la radioafición y, en general, darla a conocer como actividad de instrucción individual y de difusión cultural.

Con motivo de cumplirse el 10º aniversario de la inclusión del Parque Nacional del Teide en la lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO, volvemos a instalar nuestros equipos y antenas en el pico más alto de España. En esta ocasión se utilizará el indicativo AM8TID y se operará desde el mismo lugar que la veces anteriores: La Rambleta del Teide, a 3.555 metros sobre el nivel del mar y a menos de 163 metros de la cumbre del volcán.

The Grupo DX Teide goes back to the Teide Volcano, the highest point in Spain, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Teide National Park being in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This time they will use the special call sign AM8TID and will operate at the same place: La Rambleta del Teide, 3,555 m asl, and less than 163 m from the top of the mountain.

Operators will be AM8AM ("Luc"), EA8ARG (José Antonio), EA8BFH (Ángel), EA8BRW (Miguel Ángel), EA8CH ("Chicho"), EA8DK (Sergio), and EA8NQ (Isidro). They will be active in the HF, VHF, and UHF bands, using CW, FM, SSB, and digital modes.

You don't have to send any QSL card. Every contact will be confirmed via LoTW and eQSL. Those wanting to get a QSL via direct must send a SASE to EA8NQ.

A special certificate is provided _upon request_ to whom making at least five contacts on different bands and/or modes. The certificate will be sent free by email as a printable image or PDF. Those who want a printed certificate must send 5.00 Euros, $6.00 or 5 IRC to cover printing and shipping expenses. Request it to EA8NQ by mail or to his address in qrz.com.
